S is for S'mores - a Camping Alphabet

Author Helen Foster James is a veteran camper, having been camping over a hundred times including the Grand Canyon, the Sierra Mountain passes, and  the Colorado River. 

Illustrator Lita Judge first went camping as a baby with her parents in the backcountry of Alaska. She spent a quarter of the nights of her young childhood sleeping under the stars. The illustrations for this book were inspired by her own experiences camping in many of the locations depicted.
